James Whelan - Managing Director

James has been involved in online technology since the early 1990s, originally selling Internet connections for an ISP and later building interactive websites for local businesses. In 2000 he developed one of the first online ISA supermarkets in the UK, for Inter-Alliance. He led his development team to creating award-winning websites with accolades from publications such as Investors Week, Health Insurance and Money Marketing. With the experience and proven business acumen, he took this as an opportunity and in October 2005 completed the management buyout of his team to create Screen Business Limited.

As one of the early adopters of the Internet, and with over 10 years experience in developing new web IT solutions, James has contributed to industry journals, such as Professional Adviser and New Model Adviser. Clients draw on James' business, marketing and online experience when planning their online strategies to ensure the best possible fit for their business model.

Andrew Byham - Technical Director

As far back as 1997, Andrew was responsible for building one of the UK's first online portfolio valuation systems using an extract of client data from an IFA's back office system. He later built the first version of Staffcare, which has since been developed to become one of the UK's leading employee benefits communications software systems. He was a valuable part of the management buyout team for Screen Business Limited, and heads up our .NET technology advances into the future.

Andrew's knowledge of technology coupled with his strong history of developing robust and complex web-based applications make him the ideal person to drive forward technical development for Screen Business.
