In February 2011, technology solutions provider 1st Exchange acquired Screen Business. The aim of the acquisition was to provide both 1st Exchange & N4 and Screen Business with significant strategic benefits and enhance the capability, quality and end to end scope of the combined proposition offered to the market.

On the 4th April 2011, all the companies became a single entity under the new brand of Avelo, with the Screen Business division being named Avelo Web Solutions.

Avelo Web Solutions' roots go back to 1998, when its team was part of a leading provider to e-commerce services and online applications to the retail and financial services mid-market.

Having won several awards from publications such as Money Marketing and Financial Adviser, the team relaunched as Screen Business in 2005, and soon afterwards one of its websites won another award for "Best Online IFA", and then rebranded as Avelo Web Solutions in April, as outlined above.

In financial services, Avelo Web Solutions provides self-service websites to IFAs which automate key client servicing and administration business processes. Over 150 bespoke financial services web sites have been developed. Clients include many of the UK’s largest IFAs, such as Origen FS, Chelsea Financial Services and Greystone.

For larger firms and financial product providers, Avelo Web Solutions delivers data feeds, dynamic fund factsheets, past performance documentation systems and other business-specific services. Example of such clients are AEGON, JP Morgan, Premier Asset Management and Legal & General.

Avelo Web Solutions also serves the needs of specialists in niche market sectors who require a high level of technological expertise coupled with award-winning design capability to help them achieve their business aspirations. Clients in this area include CH Publications and Scion Films among others.
